Ingredients
  

For Classic Air Fryer Shrimp:

  • large or jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
  • olive oil or avocado oil, melted butter
  • salt
  • garlic powder
  • black pepper
  • paprika for color
  • fresh lemon juice

Optional Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges

For Breaded Air Fryer Shrimp:

  • large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • all-purpose flour seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, and seafood seasoning
  • large eggs beaten
  • panko breadcrumbs seasoned with lemon pepper, garlic powder, Parmesan
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions
 

Classic Air Fryer Shrimp:

    Pat the shrimp dry thoroughly with paper towels. This helps achieve a crispy texture.

      In a bowl, toss shrimp with oil, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika.

        Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

          Place shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 3 minutes.

            Shake the basket or flip the shrimp. Continue cooking for another 2–3 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque.

              Transfer to a bowl, toss with lemon juice, and garnish with parsley if desired.

                Crispy Breaded Shrimp:

                  Set up three bowls: one with seasoned flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with seasoned panko.

                    Pat shrimp dry. Dredge in flour, dip in egg, and coat with panko.

                      Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

                        Place shrimp in a single layer in the basket. Spray lightly with cooking spray.

                          Air fry for 4 minutes, flip, spray again, and cook for another 3–5 minutes until golden and crispy.

                            Notes

                            • Use jumbo or large shrimp for best results—they’re juicy and less likely to overcook.
                            • For extra crispiness, toss shrimp in 1–2 tbsp cornstarch before air frying.
                            • Avoid overcrowding the basket; cook in batches if needed.
                            • Air fryer basket is usually dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup.
