Equipment

  • Air Fryer 6-quart capacity or larger recommended

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots peeled and cut into ½-inch thick slices
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

Wash and peel the carrots. Cut them into uniform ½-inch thick slices or matchsticks. Pat them dry thoroughly with a paper towel. Associated Ingredients: carrots

In a medium bowl, toss the carrots with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings you desire. Ensure the carrots are evenly coated. Associated Ingredients: carrots, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, paprika

Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).

Arrange the seasoned carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.

Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the carrots are tender and slightly browned. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the carrots and your air fryer.

Check for doneness by piercing a carrot with a fork; it should be easily pierced but still slightly firm. Cook longer for more tenderness if desired.

Serve immediately as a side dish or snack.
